Newland Homes 'inspires Britain' for the third time

The Gloucestershire-based developer has once again been identified in the London Stock Exchange Group's annual publication of '1000 Companies to Inspire Britain'.

The 2020 edition is the seventh edition of the prestigious report by the London Stock Exchange, and it is the third year of inclusion for Newland Homes.

The report brings together a unique list of the UK's most dynamic and fastest-growing small and medium sized businesses (SMEs). 90 companies are listed in the South West region, and Newland Homes is one of only five companies recognised in Gloucester.

The 1000 companies listed in this year's report have created 42,606 jobs in the two years to December 2019. Newland Homes continues to expand upon this impressive figure, with the recruitment of nine members of staff within the last 12 months alone, adding to its team of 70 employed in its head office in Barnwood; many of whom are celebrating long tenures with the company.

Newland Homes has been responsible for over 125 developments across the South West and more than 3,300 homes. Just last year it completed the sale of 215 homes; 143 on the open market and 72 affordable properties. The company has scooped many industry and business accolades since its inception in 1991, and next year the company will celebrate its thirtieth year of house building.

David Foreman, managing director of Newland Homes said: "This report goes to show that regionally, there are many great companies achieving extraordinary things in their respective fields. We're delighted that, once again, Newland Homes has been identified in this distinguished group of businesses."

London Stock Exchange Group CEO David Schwimmer said: "This report highlights the vital role of SMEs in driving economic growth, leading innovation and providing jobs across the UK. In this challenging year for businesses, it is more important than ever to shine a light on these stories of resilience and entrepreneurship.

"The success of UK SMEs is crucial as we rebuild a post COVID-19 economy, and London Stock Exchange Group is committed to helping growth companies achieve their potential."

Other Gloucester companies recognised in the report are Autoparts & Diagnostics, Bennetts Cranes, Complete Utilities and Footsure Western Limited.
