Newland Homes bolsters its team with new appointment

Gloucester based housing developer Newland Homes has appointed a new sales and marketing director.

Marcus Evans

Marcus Evans joins Newland Homes after a 15-year tenure with Crest Nicholson, where he was previously sales and marketing director for the PLC's Regeneration division.

Mr Evans will have sales and marketing responsibilities for Newland Homes' 10 live development sites across the South West, with four more due to launch in the coming months and a portfolio of land opportunities in the pipeline.

Next year marks the thirtieth year in operation for the business which has been responsible for more than 125 developments across the South West and more than 3,300 homes. Just last year it completed the sale of 215 homes; 143 on the open market and 72 affordable properties.

Mr Evans said: "From my very first meeting with Newland Homes, I was blown away by the passion and sincerity of everyone who works for the company. It's an independent company with strong values and a strong product, and they excel at placing the customer at the core of everything they do. I've no doubt it will be a special place to work and I look forward to conveying that uniqueness to a wider audience."

David Foreman, managing director for Newland Homes, added: "We were overwhelmed with applicants for this role and it was a rigorous selection process, but Marcus stood out as his values are very much aligned with ours."

Newland Homes has scooped many industry and business accolades, most recently having been recognised by the London Stock Exchange as one of '1000 Companies To Inspire Britain' and by the Sunday Times in its Profit Track 100 for 2019, which identifies the fastest growing private companies in the UK.

Anita Williams has been acting sales and marketing director for the past nine months and she will continue to be part of the Newland Homes team on a consultancy basis.
