Newland Homes appoints new sales manager

Gloucester-based housebuilder Newland Homes has appointed Alison Bowen to the recently created role of sales manager.

Ms Bowen joins Newland Homes having spent nearly ten years as a sales consultant at Taylor Wimpey. She will lead and motivate the 15 strong sales team, who are currently operational across 11 live development sites in the South West, with four sites due to launch in the coming months.

Her route into the housebuilding industry was serendipitous. Whilst working for Nationwide Building Society in Swindon, Ms Bowen visited a Taylor Wimpey development looking to buy her first home. Her experience of purchasing a new home inspired a career change, and she embarked on a new path as a Sales Consultant.

She said: "I am looking forward to embarking on a new journey with the team whilst progressing my skills and continuing to build the company's key values of conscientious, considerate and crafted, which match my personal values.

"Newland Homes is an incredible company to work for and I'm excited to be building my career into management. I am blown away by the quality and specification of the properties and I love the feel of the company; how welcoming and passionate everyone is.

"The sales consultants at Newland Homes are accomplished and skilled professionals who have been with the company a long time. The new role of Sales Manager is the missing piece of a jigsaw puzzle for the team, supporting the sales consultants so they can continue to do their job well, while helping to make the sales process slicker and smoother for everyone involved.

"It's a very rewarding industry and I have joined at an exciting time whilst we move forward with the creation of zero carbon emission homes, which I'm proud and excited to be part of."

Alison will report directly to Marcus Evans, sales and marketing director, who said: "Alison joins Newland Homes at a pivotal time for the company as we embark on building the next generation of environmentally-friendly homes. Alison is a people person who builds excellent relationships and places the customer at the core of everything she does. She fits superbly in our team."

The independent company, based in Barnwood, has been responsible for more than 130 developments across the South West and more than 3,400 homes since its inception in 1991. Just last year it completed the sale of 141 homes; 112 on the open market and 29 affordable properties.

Newland Homes has scooped many industry and business accolades, most recently having been recognised by the London Stock Exchange as one of '1000 Companies To Inspire Britain' and by the Sunday Times in its Profit Track 100 for 2019, which identifies the fastest growing private companies in the UK.
