New Cheltenham store illuminations get go-ahead from planners

Final details of a new blinds and curtain store have been approved by Cheltenham Borough Council planners.

The Hillarys outlet is situated in Unit C of the Gateway Retail Park off Tewkesbury Road, Cheltenham.

Cheltenham planners have given the go-ahead for external illuminated signs to the north and east sides with non-illuminated signs to the south and west elevations.

There was one objection from a resident in nearby Glynbridge Gardens who raised concerns about possible light pollution.

Found in 1971 there are now more than 90 Hillarys stores throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland.
