New storage centre gets the go-ahead

Plans for a new business and household storage centre in Gloucester have been approved.

The Lok'nStore unit will cover a total site of 5,624 sq metres including three mezzanine levels at Barnwood Triangle off Metz Way.

The layout is designed to allow customers to access the building directly via loading bays situated to the west of the centre.

The applicant says the design of the building will be simple and well proportioned with a crisp, modern appearance based upon Lok'nStore's company colours of white, tangerine and silver.

Business users represent about a fifth of the company's customers but over a third of its revenue because they hold larger spaces. The units will be offered on a short-term, flexible basis.
