New non-executive directors set to join Spirax Sarco

Two new non-executive director appointments have been announced at Cheltenham-based Spirax-Sarco Engineering plc.

Experts in thermal energy management, peristaltic pumping and associated fluid path technologies, the business said the appointments are part of its ongoing succession planning.

Angela Archon and Olivia Qiu will join the Board as independent non executive directors effective from December 1.

Angela Archon, while employed by IBM Corporation, held various senior executive positions, including vice president, transformation and chief operating officer of the Watson Health Division.

She is currently a board director of Switch, CommonSpirit Health, and the National Association of Corporate Directors - Texas TriCities Chapter.

Olivia Qiu has held a range of executive positions with large global organisations including chief executive officer and board director of Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell. She is currently chief innovation officer with Signify (formerly Philips Lighting).

Jamie Pike, chair of Spirax-Sarco said: "I am delighted to welcome both Angela and Olivia to the board of directors. Angela has strong strategic and operational experience, combined with her ability to drive transformational change and focus on customer support. Olivia has digital transformation and innovation skills as well as major P&L and international business experience.

"Angela and Olivia both bring competencies that will greatly assist the development of the group. These appointments are part of the succession planning undertaken by the Nomination Committee to recruit non-executive directors with the skills and experience required to support the implementation of our strategy for growth."
