Could Gloucester Rugby be behind 'interest' in business park next door to Kingsholm?

Since former tenant SLG upped-sticks and moved its entire operations to Cheltenham the 5,700-plus square metre business park next to Gloucester Rugby has been on the market.

Rumours of a new tenant have included speculation that the current occupants of Kingsholm stadium itself could be interested, but this has been roundly dismissed by those in the know.

What seems clear is that a deal could be close to being signed which would see a new occupant in the 5,725.06 sq m manufacturing, warehouse and office facility that is Kingsholm Business Park.

Simon McKeag, of ASH Chartered Surveyors, said: "We have got interest on the site."

But as is the way with such things, he would not divulge any more information.

A rumour had been doing the rounds that Gloucester Rugby had expressed an interest and there was talk also of a hotel on the site.

Mr McKeag said there had been an early conversation with the club, as might be expected because the two sites are adjoining, but that had been an end to it.

He dismissed talk the interest was on-going, and the rumour of a hotel on the site, as unfounded.

According to Ash the property consists of a purpose built, single storey detached factory of steel frame construction with brick and profile metal sheet clad elevations with pitched profile clad roof.

Ground floor office space within the adjoining two storey building is available, along with a staff canteen, kitchen area, server room and WC facilities.

There is also parking to the front and rear. To find out more visit ASH Chartered Surveyors website.
