New head chef for Cheltenham’s StarBistro

StarBistro has a new head chef, who previously worked at the Forest House Hotel in Coleford.

Ryan Harris is an experienced chef with a passion for simple but tasty food with a twist. Most recently, he worked as a chef assessor for training company Babcock International.

Ryan said: "The key to great food is to keep it simple and not over-complicate the ingredients. I love the whole concept of street food for just this reason, and I hope to bring some of these influences to the menu at Royal Crescent!"

When he's not cooking up a storm in the kitchen, Ryan's keen interest in youth football keeps him busy. He's the safeguarding officer for Cinderford's Puma Juniors football team and assistant manager for the under-9's, while also working towards his FA Level 1 football coaching qualification.

StarBistro at Royal Crescent in Cheltenham is an oasis of calm, just a short walk from the bustle of the Promenade. Open Monday-Friday from 8am-3.30pm, StarBistro uses locally sourced ingredients and offers tasty breakfasts, light lunches, afternoon teas, specialist coffees and delicious cakes, as well as 'to go' food and outside catering services.

StarBistro is part of National Star Foundation, a registered charity working with people with disabilities, enabling them to live their lives independently and to the full.
