New dining experience heading for Cheltenham

A brand new steak restaurant is set to open in Cheltenham's Quadrangle in the spring.
Şef (pronounced chef) Steakhouse is an independent restaurant which is owned and run by Metin Civlak, who lives in Cheltenham, Mert Aras and Kaan Kucukagalar. The owners bring with them a total of 30 years of restaurant experience gained from setting up and running eateries in Turkey and Kuwait.
Food at Sef will be cooked over charcoal and the kitchen will be visible to diners, with dishes also finished at the table.
Metin Civlak said: "We're very much looking forward to bringing the Şef experience to Cheltenham. It's something that will be unique to the town and the Quadrangle is the perfect setting.
"We'll be serving the finest cuts of meat along with a menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, and will be using local suppliers where possible.
"Diners can expect a visual treat as well as a culinary one, whether that's in the restaurant or outside on the terrace. It will be our first UK restaurant and we're thrilled that it's Cheltenham that will get to experience it."
Şef Steakhouse will seat 95 inside and 50 outside on the terrace. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, with late night opening on Friday and Saturday.
