VIDEO: New cyber park will be a UK first

A planned new cyber park will help put Gloucestershire firmly on the map for new innovation and technology.

At Wednesday's GFirstLEP annual review the leader of Cheltenham Borough Council Cllr Steve Jordan explained the exciting proposals for the centre west of Cheltenham and near GCHQ.

It will be a first for the UK, supported by £22 million of growth funding from GFirstLEP and also include 1,100 new homes on 45 hectares of land.

"It is literally next to GCHQ and will provide a great opportunity for the cyber innovation hub," said Cllr Jordan. "There is potential for office developments for the supply chain for GCHQ, for new businesses coming on stream.

"It is great for young people in the area with very exciting new job opportunities."
