New course is Just the Job for 16-18 year olds
4th October 2017
SGS College (South Gloucestershire and Stroud College) is offering a new course that helps 16-18 year olds enter the world of work.
The two week course, 'Just the Job', is aimed at giving young people advice, guidance and skills to support their first steps into employment. It will give participants a helping hand in CV writing, interview techniques, gaining confidence, increasing motivation and developing existing skills.
Learners will not only gain a recognised qualification, but also the opportunity to walk away with one of the following: Interview outfit worth £50, Kindle or £50 driving lesson voucher.
The course is being run by the College's successful Suited Booted Recruited (SBR) team, which runs courses to give unemployed people the necessary skills to gain employment.
Head of Department, Kate Hartshorn comment: "It's Suited, Booted, Recruited's fifth anniversary so we'd like to go back to our roots and run another SBR Course specifically for 16-18 year olds.
"Many young people are still not in education, employment or training so 'Just the Job' is delivered in the local community to support them with their first steps on their career ladder."
The first course will commence on 9th October and will run daily from 9.30am-4pm. For more information please contact 0800 0566940 or book through www.suitedbootedrecruited.co.uk
