Another jewel is to be added to the £100 million town centre attraction that is The Brewery Quarter, creating "dozens of jobs".
Cocktail bar The Alchemist hopes to work its magic on customers when it opens next year in a 4,539 square foot premises on the site off the lower end of the High Street.
Described as a "theatrical restaurant and bar" it is the latest addition to the centre's leisure and retail offering, following hot on the heels of The Botanist and inspirational fashion brand Urban Outfitters.
Businesses such as SLG Beauty have also relocated to the complex, in the case of the brand agency investing £3m in its new headquarters.
Nikki Kontarines, asset manager for The Brewery Quarter, said: "We're delighted to welcome The Alchemist to the tenant portfolio as our next big opening. It's a perfect fit for the leisure and lifestyle mix that we are creating.
"The Alchemist is yet another aspirational tenant we've been keen to secure, further cementing The Brewery Quarter as a high quality regional leisure destination. With the multimillion pound Cineworld expansion and refurbishment finishing in August this year, there's a real buzz and the anticipation of the arrival of The Alchemist is incredibly exciting."
Agent Chris O'Mahony from Savills said: "We are delighted to have secured a further high profile letting in The Brewery Quarter. The Alchemist will be a great addition and further complement the existing leisure and retail within the scheme."
The Alchemist has sites in Birmingham, Cardiff, Chester, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham and Oxford.
The Brewery Quarter's Summer Jam, a mini festival, is due to take place next month (from Friday August 2 to Sunday August 4) and has been extended from two to three days.
Now in its fourth year, Summer Jam is described as a festival of food, music and entertainment for all the family.
