New business pays it forward for the homeless

A pop-up Caribbean food stall has integrated a pay it forward scheme into its business model, and will be feeding the homeless tasty Caribbean food next month.

Jamaica Inn Kitchen was set up this year to provide Caribbean food for weddings, festivals and events across the Cotswolds. It also has a stall at Shambles Market in Stroud every Saturday.

Keen to put something back into the community, Jamaica Inn business owner Derrick McLean integrated a pay it forward scheme into the business, allowing customers to donate to the company's homeless project.

Jamaica Inn has raised £400 so far, and will set up a kitchen to distribute meals to the homeless in Stroud on 28th April, which is Pay It Forward Day.
