New appointments at Alder King

Gloucester-based property consultancy Alder King has made two new appointments in its Bristol office.

Simon Metcalf has joined the firm's planning team as an associate. A chartered town planner with more than 20 years' planning experience, he has worked across both public and private sectors leading multi-disciplinary teams to deliver complex projects in the residential, commercial, energy and infrastructure sectors. He previously worked at Tetra Tech in Bristol.

Alsadeq Safieddine has joined Alder King's energy team as a negotiator. Holding an MSc (Hons) degree in Environmental Management from the University of the West of England and an MSc in Renewable Energy Technologies from Reading University, he has experience working with alternative fuels in the agriculture and brewing industries, as well as working proficiency in BREEAM sustainability assessment methods for master planning projects, infrastructure and buildings.

Mr Safieddine now works on land acquisition strategies with Alder King's energy clients including Gridserve, JBM Solar, Conrad Energy and Lightsource BP.

Simon Smith, partner at Alder King, said: "Our planning and energy teams have been especially active over the last year and Simon and Alsadeq bring unique skills and capabilities which are enhancing our service to clients.

"Their arrival forms part of an ongoing structured expansion programme in a number of key disciplines including valuation, building consultancy, energy and development, both in our Bristol head office and other office locations, and we look forward to announcing further new appointments in the coming months."
