New appointment at county surveyors firm

Evans Jones, the Cheltenham-based firm of planners, surveyors and disabled access consultants, has appointed a new chartered town planner.

Chris Marsh joins the firm from his previous position as senior planning officer for Wiltshire Council and has over 10 years' experience as a town planner working across both the private and public sectors.

He has managed a large and varied caseload, determining and securing permission for a wide variety of developments and representing local authorities and clients through all types of appeals.

Evans Jones says he brings a wealth of experience to the firm and will be responsible for planning appeals, including written representations, hearing appeals and public inquiries; planning appraisals and feasibility studies; and planning applications.

David Jones, managing director of Evans Jones commented: "We are delighted to welcome Chris to the team. We have seen significant growth within the practice, none more so than within our planning division.

"This new appointment will allow us to maintain our high standards of service delivery and Chris' experience and knowledge will provide a significant asset to Evans Jones and we look forward to working with him."
