Nepalese restaurant gets go ahead for Cheltenham

A Nepalese restaurant has been given the go ahead to open in the former L'Artisan in Cheltenham.

Plans were approved this week to renovate the venue in Clarence Street which has sat empty since the French bistro closed suddenly in June.

The 113sqm site will now be overhauled and opened as Nepalese Chef.

The ground floor bar and counters will be replaced and a bar created on the first floor. There will also be two new air source heat pumps and an external chiller unit for the cellar.

The front facade and windows are to be repainted cream and white and human sized decals put up either side of the door.

It will be the second branch opened by Mr Kashi Sharma who already runs the Nepalese Chef in London Road in Gloucester which offers traditional dishes for dine in or takeaway.

The new restaurant in Cheltenham will be open Monday to Saturday 10am to 11.30pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays from noon to 10.30pm with four full time and 11 part time staff.
