Mypower has another day in the sun

Gloucestershire solar PV installation and sustainable energy solution consultancy, Mypower, has been named as winner of the Small Scale Project of the year at the Regional Energy Efficiency Awards for their installation for Delaney Mackay Lewis at the Goodridge Business Park, Gloucester.

Competing in all three categories they were nominated for, the business also picked up a highly commended award in Regional Installer of the Year and commended in the Large Scale Project category for their installation for Leeways Packaging Services in Churcham.

Mypower said the awards reflect and ratify the quality of service and project delivery from its team, leading the conversation in solar PV and sustainable energy solutions in the county and wider region.

Neil Stott, business development director at Mypower said: "The team have worked incredibly hard, especially in the last 18 months, to maintain the standards we set ourselves in terms of project delivery and the complete turnkey service we provide across a multitude of sectors.

"To receive these three awards, especially as we approach COP26, where the conversation around climate change and sustainable energy will be at the fore front of people's minds; goes to show that we've spent the last decade building a business which facilitates real change in the way people think about and consider their energy consumption.

"Solar PV makes both environmental and commercial sense and I'm proud to say we're consistently delivering award winning solutions to our customers."

The Energy Efficiency Awards, are open to anyone involved in the energy saving and efficiency sector within the UK, with the aim of recognising best practice within the industry.

This is not the first time that Mypower have been commended for their installations, also picking up an award in 2017 for their installation at Gloucester Cathedral.

Mypower are involved in several projects nationwide, as well as local solar PV installations including a new project about to begin at Oxstalls Tennis Centre in Gloucester.

Ben Harrison, managing director of Mypower added: "I'm extremely proud to receive these awards this as they validate for us not only the hard work of the team but the quality and effort that goes into each of our installations. Having just celebrated our 10th anniversary, which we couldn't do properly due to the pandemic, it's wonderful to achieve this and put down a marker on the standards we operate to as a business.

"Sustainable energy has become a hot topic of late due to the focus on the climate crisis and significant energy price inflation. However, we've been building this business for over a decade, Solar is something we strongly believe in and the savings and changes in energy consumption our customers see are a testament to that.

"We're leading the conversation regarding sustainable energy and solar pv in the county and beyond and with the projects we have in the pipeline; I couldn't be more excited for the future of the business or more proud of the team we've built."
