Murray's Estate Agents raises the roof for Nelson Trust

Together with The Nelson Trust's Gloucestershire Fundraising Committee and other sponsors, Murray's Estate Agents has helped raise an impressive £12,053.

The first event in June featured a piano recital from the immensely talented Clare Hammond. The recital was held at Angeston Grange and offered attendees an unforgettable evening of music, food, and socialisation. The generosity of all who attended the event raised a staggering £8,227 for The Nelson Trust.

Then James Murray, trustee of The Nelson Trust as well as director of Murray's, and Sam Robertson undertook the David Goggins 4x4x48 challenge, which saw them run 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours, through day and night. The pair raised £3,776, which will go towards helping to improve the lives of The Nelson Trust's clients across the South West of England and Wales.

Dame Janet Trotter, chair of trustees for The Nelson Trust, expressed that both events represent a 'fantastic effort' in aid of the charity and that the trust is 'grateful for every penny raised to help support people in recovery.'

The Nelson Trust has helped thousands of people to recover from addiction, rebuild an independent, fulfilling life and rejoin the community. The charity offers an abstinence-based, residential rehabilitation programme which offers therapeutic support and practical help with housing, education, training and employment.
