Multi-million pound spend creates new-look hotel restaurant

The first phase of a multi-million-pound development has been unveiled for the Cotswolds.

The investment has created a "complete transformation" of a gastro pub, a new restaurant and café.

All of which centres on The Old Boathouse at De Vere Cotswold Water Park Hotel near Cirencester.

According to the company the site's hotel lobby has also been "tastefully reimagined, with new furniture and lighting, to improve guest's arrival experience".

Richard Smith, De Vere Group brand director and general manager at De Vere Cotswold Water Park said: "It's exciting to see all our ideas come to life, providing our guests with the best possible experience and facilities.

"Our revamped Old Boathouse and the new The Muddy Duck Café will provide local residents and our guests brilliant options for celebrations, relaxed dining and meet ups.

"De Vere Cotswold Water Park is such a unique venue and I'm looking forward to these new initiatives welcoming new audiences through our doors, as well as giving our loyal customers new experiences to enjoy."

The Old Boathouse can seat up to 110 guests inside and has 50 outdoor seats ideal for celebrations - for both local residents and hotel guests.

Simon Bradley, head Chef at De Vere Cotswold Water Park, said: "Since joining in March I've been busy curating the new menus for both The Old Boathouse, Brasserie Restaurant and the Lounge.

"With four eateries attached to the hotel it is important that each dining experience not only provides guests with delicious options but offer something different and inspiring."

Set among 152 lakes, De Vere Cotswold Water Park aims to provide "an idyllic setting for tranquil walks along the water fronts" - and to cater for those very people pre-and post exercise.
