MP urges visitors to get on their (hire) bikes

A new bike hire service has been launched in Stroud ready for summer visitors.

Oxford-based Bainton Bikes were joined by Stroud MP David Drew for the official unveiling outside the town's Subscription Rooms.

Bainton Bikes says the bicycles can be hired 24/7 - and locked and unlocked - using a mobile phone app available from the company or software partner Donkey Republic.

Hub locations for the bikes will be at the Clock Tower, High Street (near the junction with Kendrick Street) and King Street, Stroud.

Bainton Bikes says next month it will be releasing a number of cycle routes that people can download and enjoy at their leisure.
