Move in day for residents of new affordable homes In Kingsholm

Gloucester City Homes have let the first of 20 new affordable homes at the new Glevum Green development which sits between Estcourt and Denmark Road in Kingsholm.

The development, built by Redrow Homes, starts with the completion of two four-bed affordable rent homes which will be followed by 10 one and two-bed flats, another four-bed house, four two-bed houses and three three-bed houses by the Summer.

Robert Panou, head of Assets and Development at GCH said: "We are really pleased to make these high-quality new homes available and whilst the majority offer affordable housing there are four homes available for part rent, part buy through the Government's Shared Ownership scheme. This helps to offer different affordable housing options to Gloucester residents.

"Across Gloucester, work has started on more than 200 new GCH homes in Gloucester as we continue to deliver more much needed affordable homes for local people."
