Motorcyclist dies in four-vehicle collision on A417 near Maisemore

Road closures were put in place following a serious four-vehicle collision on the A417 on Wednesday, June 22.

Police were called shortly after 10.30pm with a report of a collision between Maisemore and Gloucester.

The collision involved two motorcycles and two cars. One of the motorcyclists, a man, died at the scene.

Closures are in place on the A417 between Maisemore and the A40 Over roundabout while a collision investigation continues.

The closures are expected to remain in place throughout the morning, and motorists are advised to seek alternative routes.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, has dashcam footage, or who has any information which could assist the investigation and has not already spoken to police is asked to come forward.

Information can be provided to police by calling 101 or completing the online form and quoting incident 523 of June 22.
