By David Wood | 20th July 2023
Cheltenham-based shower manufacturer Mira Showers has continued its fundraising initiatives that have helped the community across Gloucestershire and beyond.
Recently, Mira welcomed Dementia UK, its official charity partner for 2022, to its event space, Space 100 to present the charity with a cheque for £54,000.

The impressive sum raised by associates within the business across 2022. The incredible donation was made possible through an array of fundraising efforts that included bake sales, a craft fair, Mira's charity ball and even a car wash.
Accepting the donation on behalf of Dementia UK, the charity's regional fundraising manager Sophie Hirst noted Mira's efforts led to the largest amount that had ever been raised by any one business across all of its regional fundraising teams, and would fund a specialist dementia nurse's work in the community for 11 months.
Sophie said: "We want to thank Mira for its incredible efforts. The fundraising efforts have been incredible and will help us provide the support and access to healthcare professionals that families with complex needs require week in, week out."
As part of its ongoing work in the community, each year, Mira partners with a charity selected by associates to be the recipient of its fundraising efforts for that calendar year.
For 2023, Child Poverty Action Group was selected and as well as fundraising through bake sales, a charity chess competition, hair dyeing and charity quizzes, Mira have also spent some time fundraising at Cheltenham Town FC, for which the brand are principal partners. .
In March, the company supported both CTFC's men's and women's teams at their Double Header event, raising £750. In May, Mira also organised the Mira Showers Charity Cup, held at the Completely-Suzuki Stadium. The event saw six teams, made up of Mira associates, compete for the coveted Charity Cup, as well as raffles to win signed memorabilia from Cheltenham Town Football Club and Manchester United - raising over £1,200.
The shower manufacturer marked Pride Month with a series of initiatives and fundraising activities that culminated in keynote talks and discussions from award-winning CEO and founder of Trans in the City, Bobbi Pickard and Jules Taylor from FFLAG - a voluntary organisation and charity that supports parents with LGBTQ+ children..
Emma Foster, managing director at Mira Showers, added: "Each and every one of the charities we work with provide vital and important support to communities across Gloucestershire and beyond, and we are immensely proud to be able to help them do what they do.
"I would also like to thank our wonderful associates for all of their efforts - without which, none of this would be possible. With Child Poverty Action Group UK being our official charity partner for 2023, we look forward to continuing our fundraising efforts and will raise as much as we can to help support the work they do."
Mira Showers recognises the value of partnering with others to achieve common goals, and through its community initiatives, charity partnerships, water stewardship and more, the brand is committed to developing and delivering impactful and long-term collaborations.
