Memberships looking healthy at The Gym Group

Half year sales have soared at The Gym Group, with a 10 per cent increase in memberships.

The no-contract chain, which has gyms in Gloucester and Cheltenham, saw sales increase by 187 per cent, to £84.2 million, compared to £29.3 million a year ago.

Revenues at The Gym have now reached 90 per cent of pre-Covid levels and losses have reduced from £21.8 million a year ago to £4.2 million, as reported by The Sun.

The business has 790,000 members and 215 gyms. It plans to open a further 28 gyms this year and aims to reach 300 sites by 2025.
