A McDonalds boss has paid it forward to help the needy in Gloucestershire.
Franchisee Paul Toner, who owns and operates eight of the fast food restaurants in the county, has donated 16 boxes of frozen food to Tuffley Community Association.
He said he wanted to help make a positive impact during this "difficult period"
The donation was handed over to Jen Layhe, trustee and general manager of Tuffley Court Community Association, who used to work for Mr Toner in his Westgate McDonalds restaurant.
The food was shared with Redwell Centre in Matson and Poets Pantry in Podsmead.
This is the second consecutive year the restaurants have made a donation.
Mr Toner said: "Working to help our community is very important to us, contributions like this allow us to come together as a wider restaurant group and further build our relationships with the Gloucestershire community."
"It was lovely to reunite with Jen who began her career working in Westgate, one of our local restaurants, and experience the wonderful work she now does.
"In a difficult period, we know how significant this donation will be, and we hope that it goes some way to making a positive impact."
