Masked men smashed vehicle in Cheltenham

Police in Cheltenham are appealing for witnesses after a report that a group of masked men with baseball bats smashed a vehicle.

On Tuesday, February 28, at around 4.20pm, two 4X4s were seen driving up and down Tobyfield Road in Bishop's Cleeve.

The vehicles, one black and one gold, were reported as repeatedly ramming into another vehicle before driving onto a member of the public's property.

A group of men, a number of them in each car, then exited the vehicles and used bats and catapults with ball-bearings to smash a silver car, before driving off.

Police and the Ambulance Service attended the scene. A man was treated for potentially serious injuries.

Investigating officers are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or who has any information that could help officers to come forward.

To contact police, use the online form, quoting incident number 336 of February 28.

Alternatively, information can be submitted by calling 101 or anonymously by calling the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
