Marsh Commercial expands its Gloucestershire team

Commercial insurance brokers Marsh Commercial has grown its Gloucestershire team, to provide expert support and guidance to the people and businesses of Gloucestershire to "turn today's challenges into tomorrow's opportunities".

For independents, sole traders and fast-growing businesses up and down the country, Marsh has a network of 2500 colleagues across 50 locations, including six in Gloucestershire.

Meet the Gloucestershire team

Dale Williams, regional director of South & Southwest

Cheltenham-based, he joined Marsh Commercial four years ago and is responsible for leading the South and Southwest offices and national UK professions team.

A sports enthusiast, Dale enjoys hiking, cycling, skiing and endurance athletics, with numerous medals under his belt. He also loves reading when he gets the time.

Phil Huggins, head of office

Phil is head of office for the advisory team across the West & Wales and has been with Marsh Commercial for five years.

He's racked up an impressive 33 years' experience within the insurance industry with various roles ranging from underwriting, claims, loss adjusting, broking and management.

During that time he has amassed a wealth of experience with specific skills in property and casualty insurance, personal insurance and risk management, and is professionally qualified to Dip CII and BTEC National Diploma in Business & Finance.

Phil is an avid rugby supporter (and ex-player) who enjoys a round of golf whenever he gets time off from chasing after his nine and seven year old boys!

Tegan McKernon, account executive leader

Tegan joined the Marsh Commercial team five years ago, bringing seven years of prior experience of working in commercial insurance, three of which were as an underwriter.

She is professionally qualified to ACII level, as well having a law degree. She runs an informal networking darts club in Cheltenham for the local business community, and is an active member of UNO networking in Gloucester Quays.

Shane O'Brien, account executive

Shane started working at Marsh Commercial in 2019, bringing five years of prior experience of working in commercial insurance. Shane is an active member of various networking groups throughout Cheltenham and Gloucester. A sports enthusiast, Shane loves cycling and playing rugby for Longlevens RFC.

Tony Tasker, account executive

The latest addition to the team, Tony entered the world of insurance in 1990 on a fixed term contract and the rest as they say is history.

With 22 years of broking experience, he has dealt with a diverse range of clients, but his specialism and passion is in the automotive industry where he is proud to have acted for some of the most prestigious companies in Gloucestershire, from motor traders to manufacturers of parts to motorsports teams, including the current Formula 1 World Champions.

A long-time supporter of Gloucester Rugby, Tony attends as many games as he can, but as a resident of Kingsholm he enjoys nothing more than hearing The Shed in full voice from his garden. When he's not watching rugby he likes to attend motorsports events, particularly those that clients are involved in.

Steve Roberts, account executive

Steve has been with Marsh Commercial for four years and brings a further five years of prior experience in the industry in roles including sales, marketing and management.

He helps clients in sectors including manufacturing, contractors, professionals and technology and is professionally qualified to Cert II and a BTEC National Diploma in Management. An outdoor enthusiast, Steve enjoys hiking, mountain biking and paddle-boarding.
