Man with serious stab wound after fun fair incident

Police have appealed for witnesses after a man was allegedly stabbed at the fun fair at Gloucester Park last night.

Officers were called to Gloucester Park at around 6.30pm after reports of a group of men fighting.

A Gloucestershire police spokesperson said today: "A 24-year-old man was taken by ambulance to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where he is being treated for what is believed to be a stab wound.

"His injuries are described as serious but he is in a stable condition.

"Any witnesses, or anyone with information, should could police on 101 and quote incident number 432 of 1/8.

"No arrests have been made at this time."

Police have cordoned off an area around one of the fun fair attractions.
