A 53-year-old man is due to appear in court tomorrow (Tuesday, November 1) charged with the manslaughter of a Cheltenham man who died after being punched unconscious at a Cotswolds pub fourteen months ago.
Liam McKane has been charged with the offence following consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service.
A Gloucestershire Police spokesperson said: "The charge relates to the death of 51-year-old Colin Leslie following an incident at the Kingsbridge Public House in Bourton-on-the-Water on Saturday, August 28, 2021."
Mr McKane will appear before Cheltenham Magistrates Court tomorrow (Nov 1) to face the charge.
Mr Leslie was rushed to John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with head injuries after the incident outside the Kingsbridge pub in Bourton-on-the-Water, but died a week later on September 5, 2021.
A tribute issued by Mr Leslie's family shortly after his death said: "Colin was a dearly loved son, father, brother, partner and uncle.
"Colin was always a happy guy who was well known to everyone and who touched so many lives.
"We as a family are absolutely heartbroken that he has been tragically taken from us like this. Our lives without Colin will never be the same again."
