Man dies following hit and run

A pedestrian who suffered serious injuries in a "non-stop collision" in Gloucester last month has died.

The man, aged in his 50s, had been in hospital in the city since the incident on Kingsholm Road at the junction of Skinner Street, by Gloucester Rugby's stadium, on the evening of Saturday, September 28.

The vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.

A 22-year-old man from Birmingham was later arrested on October 2 and released under investigation pending further enquiries.

A vehicle was seized.

The investigation continues and anyone with information about the incident who has not yet spoken to police is asked to call 101 and reference incident 409 of September 28.
