Man arrested in connection with rape in Stroud

An arrest has been made in connection with a report that a man raped a woman in Dudbridge Road, Stroud on Friday, July 22, at around midday.

A 20-year-old man from Stroud was arrested on Tuesday (November 22) on suspicion of rape.

He has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A 41-year-old man from Stroud, who had previously been arrested on suspicion of rape in connection with this incident, has been informed that he will face no further police action in connection with this investigation.

The victim has been updated and continues to be supported.
