A 28-year-old Gloucester man charged with killing a businesswoman and her 11-year-old daughter was today committed to Bristol Crown Court for trial.

Shaven- headed Christopher Boon of Dexter Way, Gloucester, made a three minute appearance before Cheltenham Magistrates this morning.

He faced charges that he killed Laura Boon, nee Mortimer, 32, and her daughter Ella Dalby, 11 at their home early on Bank Holiday Monday morning.

Boon, who wore a grey teeshirt, was remanded in custody and the case adjourned to Bristol Crown Court tomorrow.

Mrs Boon was a wedding planner and her daughter had just started secondary school at Barnwood Park Academy in Gloucester.
