Major employer leaves Gloucester

If you have read the headline and think this could be bad news for the Gloucestershire - then read on - according to the firm it is about positioning itself firmly in the county for growth.

One hundred and seventy-strong staff team All Fleet Services has been growing steadily from its Quedgeley base for some time - so much so it was forced to split onto two sites to accommodate all its staff.

A search for a suitable site close to its South Gloucester base proved fruitless and apparently the firm even looked outside of the county boundary, but then it found what it was looking for.

That being a new 30,000 square feet head office within the Beechdene Building at the Vantage Point Business Park in Mitcheldean in the Forest of Dean.

That is where the provider of software solutions, call centre and administrative services to the fleet and automotive industries has now set up shop - and also announced further developments at its business.

Dave Scobie, managing director of All Fleet Services, said: "I am delighted to have secured these new premises and to have been able to keep All Fleet Services in the county.

"This move marks a new chapter for the business and it is great to have all our staff within one building and one floor and still have room for expansion.

"I'd also like to thank all of our staff that have made the move with us and thank the team that have been helping make the move such a smooth transition".

Turnover for the year ended 2017 was £5.7 million. All Fleet has now achieved 20 per cent year on year growth for the last three years and is on target to hit turnover of £7 million this year.

To coincide with the move, All Fleet Services has also unveiled a new brand identity for All Fleet Services and a re-naming and re-branding of their network of more than 5,000 managed service and repair garages from Procumaint to the All Fleet Network.

All Fleet Services, was founded in 2003 and now works with eight out of top 10 of the Fleet News 50 (the Fleet Industry annual league table) offering services to over 1.3m vehicles in the UK.

The firm follows the announcement by another major employer in the city - Ecclesiastical - that it too is moving out. In the case of the insurance firm it is heading for nearby Brockworth after 30 years in the middle of Gloucester.
