Major appointment to new business team

A well-known Gloucestershire business consultant has been appointed to a senior role with a county college.

Simon King will join the newly-formed business development team at Hartpury College and University Centre as senior development consultant.

He was previously director of business development at the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester and most recently worked to develop links between towns in New South Wales, Australia with Cirencester.

A Hartpury College spokesperson said: "Simon will bring his higher education experience and track record for economic strategic development in partnership with GFirst LEP.

"His role at Hartpury, as a senior development consultant, will support the organisation on its journey towards becoming Hartpury University alongside Hartpury College.

"Simon's networks and track record in agriculture and rural development will provide Hartpury with the combined resources that will continue its success to date."
