Majestic Wine to take on 200 staff ahead of Christmas

Majestic Wine is planning to hire 200 new staff members ahead of Christmas under its biggest-ever festive recruitment drive.

Majestic has a number of stores in Gloucestershire, including those in Cheltenham and Gloucester.

The colleagues will work across the retailer's stores nationwide across temporary and permanent roles, reports Retail Gazette.

Available positions include drivers, sales assistants, assistant managers and trainee managers.

The news comes as the company prepares to deliver its biggest-ever golden quarter and lay foundations for future growth.

Majestic saw its second-biggest Christmas in its 43-year history in 2022 and hopes to beat the performance this year.

Majestic CEO John Colley said: "Christmas is always an exciting and busy time for Majestic, and this year we are looking for more new colleagues than ever to come and join us.

"Our new team members will not only help us to deliver our biggest Christmas ever, but will play a key part in our ambitious growth plans for next year and beyond."
