London workers would rather quit than return to the office full-time

Nearly three-quarters of London's workers would rather quit than return to the office full-time, a survey has revealed.

When asked, 73% of workers said they would look for a new job if told to work five days a week in-person, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.

Four in 10 workers said they would need a pay rise of at least 16% to reconsider five days in the office, with the cost of commuting being a key factor, the Daily Mail reported.

Higher-paid staff would push for even bigger rises, while women said they'd need stronger incentives than men.

Bloomberg's Susan Munden said London employers may need to keep flexible-work arrangements permanently to retain talent.
