Lodders celebrates 21 years at Moreton Show

Law firm Lodders will be celebrating family businesses and the farming industry at this year's Moreton Show.

The Moreton Show, on 2nd September, is one of the UK's biggest one-day countryside events. This year's show marks Lodders' 21st year at the event.

And Lodders' marquee alongside the Grand Arena is set to be busier than ever. The firm's theme is 'succession planning', recognising the strong family business values in the agricultural and countryside communities, and of Lodders' expertise and in helping family farming businesses grow and sustain across the generations. Visitors to the marquee will be able to have a family photograph taken and be added to the Lodders Family Gallery, with prizes for the best photographs.

Joining Lodders for the first time at the event will be The Farming Community Network (FCN), one of the beneficiaries of the Lodders Charitable Foundation, set-up by the firm earlier this year with the aim of supporting regional charities where it can make a real difference. FCN volunteers are all farmers, and the organisation provides practical and pastoral support to all those in the farming industry, work which is complemented by Lodders' involvement in the agricultural sector.

Members of Lodders' Equine, Agriculture, Landed Estates, Real Estate, Residential Property, Dispute Resolution, Private Client and Family law teams will also be at the show.

Lodders has worked with family businesses, landowners, farmers and rural businesses in Gloucestershire throughout its 230 year history.

For managing partner Rod Bird, a past chairman and president of the Show Society, the Moreton Show continues to be an important occasion for bringing agriculture and the public together: "The Moreton Show has all the charm of a traditional show and has successfully evolved over the years, but still remains a true agricultural event. Its success has been built upon the loyalty of its supporters and volunteers who come from all walks of life and is a unique celebration of the countryside. We are looking forward to another great show with the chance to meet up with clients and contacts old and new, in what will be our 21st year at this great event.

"All visitors to our marquee will be warmly greeted with refreshments and cake, plenty of games for the children, and water for the dog too!"

The 2017 Moreton Show is a colourful and diverse showcase of the countryside, with a host of activities, competitions, stands and displays delivering something for everyone of all ages to see, do, taste and buy.

There is a busy programme of competitions for horses, cattle (including the National Show of Poll Hereford Cattle), sheep (including the National Show of Cotswold Sheep), goats, poultry, dogs, crafts, flowers and even scarecrows, as well as over 300 trade stands selling everything from farm equipment and gardening gear, to designer clothes and toys, plus a wide selection of food and drink in the Country Larder Food Hall.
