Lloyds to close Gloucester branch

Lloyds Banking Group is to close another 53 branches across the UK.

Among those set to close is the Bristol Road branch in Gloucester, which will shut down on September 18.

The group, which has a headquarters in Barnwood, is shutting 21 Lloyds Bank branches, along with 15 Halifax and 17 Bank of Scotland branches between September and May 2024, as reported by Sky.

This follows the 40 closures already announced in January, including the Wotton-under-Edge Lloyds, which will be closing its doors on August 23.

The Cinderford Lloyds closed in January this year.

Barclays has also announced a further 10 closures, on top of the 70 closures announced at the start of the year.
