Dorian Wragg, partner and head of commercial property at leading chartered surveyor Bruton Knowles, has been honoured as a CoStar Award winner for his letting of a pivotal Gloucester development.
The deal, which secured Dorian the win in the 'Office Leasing' category of the CoStar Awards Quarterly Deals, saw the letting of the Cathedral View 2 building to internet service provider Fasthosts Internet Ltd. The seven-story property is located at the centre of a recognised world-leading cyber hub.
Set to have a significant impact on Gloucester, the deal had been over 12 months in the making.
The property is one of two main Forum buildings offering a total of 97,707 sq ft of office space in the city centre. The development also includes a hotel, apartments, a car park, two acres of landscaped public realm, a gym, retail and restaurants, and a creative hub as well as significant investment in the surrounding public transport hubs.
The CoStar Awards Quarterly Deals are designed to recognise the commercial real estate markets' top agents and their most impactful deals.
Dorian Wragg said: "It is remarkable to have been commended by the CoStar team for an office letting of this scale. It's a testament to the dedication and passion behind the work we do and I'm very grateful for the acknowledgement. It is also another step forward in promoting the city and the region as an emerging digital and cyber security centre in the UK.
"In today's working landscape, where hybrid models are common, office spaces must be dynamic and offer more than just a place to work. It's been a pleasure to provide Fasthosts with such an outstanding space, while also contributing to the local area.
"The relocation of their 250 employees to this iconic city centre property will attract additional investment and visitors, helping to further revitalise the heart of the city."
James Bailey, managing partner at Bruton Knowles, said: "Our commercial property team is deeply embedded in the Gloucester and South West property market and are committed to promoting the benefits of the city and the region. It's pleasing to see Dorian recognised for a deal of this magnitude and significance for the area."
Bruton Knowles, which has a hub in Olympus House in Gloucester, is one of the most well-known property consultancy brands in the UK, whose specialist surveyors have extensive expertise and in-depth market knowledge of both local and national property markets across the country.
