ProCook, the specialist multi-channel kitchenware retailer, has bucked the trend of its competitors by announcing a strong performance for its first half year.
With encouraging growth led by its e-commerce channels the Cheltenham based company, which has 28 stores nationwide, posted an increase in sales of 13 per cent with overall like-for-like growth of four per cent.
ProCook says it has continued to expand, adding to a very satisfactory initial year's trading through Amazon Germany by trading in Amazon France since April. Furthermore, ProCook has opened another four shops since March and will add another three over the next few months.
ProCook founder, Daniel O'Neill (pictured) said: "It's great to see that the business is continuing to grow strongly, justifying our core foundation of delivering great value across our ranges.
"Our rate of growth has picked up and the business prospects are exciting as we head into our busiest period of the year."
ProCook also celebrated picking up another ECMOD Direct Commerce award, this time retaining Best Multi-Channel Brand with Annual Sales of £15 - £30 million B2C.
Steve Sanders, ProCook's CEO, said: "Over the last 12 months we have continued to invest in all our sales channels and this performance has been ahead of expectations, with momentum increasing as we head into our core trading period. These results are hugely encouraging in what has been a tough period for retail in general."
