King's Walk welcomes three new stores

Gloucester's King's Walk has announced the opening of a new store together with the launch of two temporary shops.

The national chain Menkind will launch a new outlet at the centre on Monday, 24 September.

There are around 80 Menkind stores around the UK specialising in gifts and gadgets, especially for men. The new King's Walk outlet will open in the old Phones 4 U unit next to Greggs.

King's Walk has also announced that two other shops will trade on a temporary basis. The Ultimate Party Shop will be open over the Halloween period providing fancy dress costumes while Calendar Club will trade over the busy Festive period offering stationary and gifts that make perfect presents.

Peter White, King's Walk Manager, said: "We are delighted to welcome Menkind to King's Walk. The store will enhance the choice that we can offer our customers and is an important step in the exciting future we have planned for King's Walk.

"Menkind specialises in great gifts and gadgets, particularly for men, with an emphasis on products that feel as good to give as they are to receive. As well as a plethora of brilliant licensed goods such as Star Wars, Harry Potter, Disney and various gaming franchises, they also stock drones, technology, pocket money gifts and all manner of great games.

"There will be a strong selection of Christmas gifts and a huge focus on fun.

"With £12 million of investment planned in the coming year, King's Walk continues to grow and is helping to put Gloucester on the map as a major shopping destination."

King's Walk is already home to other major brands including River Island, Primark, tReds, HMV, Jessops and WHSmith.
