Joules to launch clothing resale scheme

Country fashion brand, Joules, is set to launch Joules ReWear, a clothing takeback and resale scheme for shoppers to return worn items.

Under the scheme, set to launch later this year, customers will receive a voucher for money off their next Joules purchase, in return for pre-worn Joules clothing, footwear or accessories in any condition, as reported by Retail Gazette

The retailer, which has stores in Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cirencester, will then either resell or responsibly recycle the items, as it aims to extend the life of products and reduce waste.

Joules said its products have always been high quality and suitable for hand-me-downs, but this gives shoppers a new way of passing on their pre-loved clothing.

It has teamed up with clothing platform Reskinned, which has aims closely aligned with Joules' own sustainability strategy, and will power the takeback technology behind the Joules website.
