John Lewis adds artistic touch to new development

John Lewis has revealed a series of colourful illustrations, created by local artist Imogen Harvey-Lewis, on the hoardings outside its new shop in Cheltenham, which opens on 18 October.
John Lewis asked Imogen, who is famous for her unique and imaginative style, to design the 2.5m x 1.8m prints to bring the hoardings on the high street to life.
The prints include creative sketches of the new branch manager, Martin Bundy, as well as sketches of the personal styling and home design services, which will be offered in the new shop.
Imogen, who has lived in Gloucestershire for just over 22 years, commented: "This has been a fantastic opportunity to play a role in welcoming John Lewis to Cheltenham. It's also been an interesting way to exhibit my work - bringing the art gallery to the high street.
"There is a genuine buzz about John Lewis opening and it's been a privilege to help build that excitement, with my own contemporary twist as the opening approaches."
Martin Bundy said: "I love Imogen's illustrations. Hoardings are often dull but she has made ours fun. I hope people enjoy looking at them and feel they brighten the high street."
