Builders merchant remains closed after fire

The Jewson builders' merchant branch remains temporarily closed on Woodrow Way, Bristol Road, Gloucester following a fire on Monday.

Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the Jewson warehouse early Monday morning. One aerial appliance and eight pumps were deployed to tackle the blaze. The fire was extinguished, and the crew departed around 15:00hrs.

No injuries were reported.

It is not known when the branch will be able to reopen.

All enquiries are routed through the national sales centre. Other stores are located in Cheltenham, Stroud, Cirencester and Coleford.
