JCB cash machine raid on Cotswold business

An audacious high street theft in the Cotswolds saw thieves in a JCB digger make off with the best part of a cash machine.

Gloucestershire Constabulary was called at 3.50am this morning (Thursday, November 15) to the High Street in Chipping Camden following what is being described as an "attack"

A member of the public reported that offenders used a stolen JCB digger to rip the HSBC ATM cash machine from the wall of Huxleys café.

The popular English/Italian eatery remains open for business as usual.

Part of the machine remains but all the cash trays are missing.

Two men were seen - one was sitting in the digger and one in a red pickup truck.

Police said other vehicles and offenders may also be involved.

A guard was put in place around the immediate area while police enquiries continue.

Anyone with any information should call 101 quoting incident number 31 of November 15, 2018, or give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
