Investec forms charity partnership with local hospice

The Cheltenham office of Investec Wealth & Investment has announced a charity partnership with the Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice for the next two years.

The Investec team plans to raise funds for the Cheltenham-based charity through a number of sponsored events and collections, as well as staff volunteering at the hospice to help improve the outside environment.

Sarah Stone, office co-ordinator at Investec Wealth & Investment said, "The Cheltenham office of Investec Wealth & Investment is delighted to be supporting Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice as our chosen charity for 2018 and 2019.

"We have a long history of volunteering and fundraising locally, with the staff choosing a charity together every two years, and are looking forward to working with the team at Sue Ryder to support this fantastic cause."

Mike Tague, head of hospice fundraising at Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice said: "When working with local businesses who want to support us we create a personalised plan, in the same way as we individually support local people and their families.

"We're really looking forward to working closely with the Cheltenham team of Investec Wealth and Investment over the next two years, engaging their staff in what we do and raising much needed funds for our care.

"Our services are given free or charge but we must raise the majority of the £10,000 a day it costs to keep our care going. We can't do this without corporate partnerships like these."

Investec Wealth & Investment has had an office in Cheltenham for over 40 years, managing money on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pensions and providing a bespoke and integrated financial planning and investment management service.

Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice is home to the only 16 inpatient hospice beds in the county, providing specialist care from its Grade II Listed Elizabethan Manor House nestled in the foothills of the Cotswolds just outside Cheltenham.

It also offers day hospice, hospice at home and family support services. In the past year it has supported 634 local people living with conditions such as cancer, lung failure, heart disease and neurological conditions and their families too.
