Independent Cheltenham shoe shop partners with John Lewis

Mighty high street legend John Lewis has chosen to partner with an independent women's footwear boutique in Cheltenham.

For those for whom shoes are listed among life's essential's the name Keith Scarrott and its ever-changing ranges have been a cherished boon for years.

Founded in 1975 by its namesake, the business on The Promenade has been under the management of the founder's daughter, creative director Sophie Scarrott, for more than a decade and a half.

And it is she who has been working on a full campaign shoot with John Lewis, Cheltenham and the Charlotte Tilbury beauty counter, taken in iconic locations across the Regency Town.

Part of which is the launch of what all regulars have been pining for, Keith Scarrott's latest collection for Autumn and Winter 2019 (the AW19/20 collection, for short).

"We do two campaigns a year, one in Spring and one in Autumn. Last year we did a photo shoot at Soho Farmhouse (Chipping Norton) and it did really well, but I thought we should do our next campaign in Cheltenham and promote where we are actually from instead.

"I really, really like Charlotte Tilbury makeup, which is based in John Lewis, and I really believe in businesses partnering with one another, and if you don't ask you don't get."

Ask she did and John Lewis and Charlotte Tilbury said 'yes'.

The collection of footwear - which is designed in-house by Keith Scarrott's team and then hand made in Italy, encompasses an eclectic a mix of unique boots, shoes, heels and trainers.

Ms Scarrott said: "Autumn is our favourite fashion season, and I love the John Lewis ethos of taking the time to invest in new season staples you'll love in order to breathe new life into your autumn wardrobe.

"The resulting images are fantastic. You see long knee-high and over-the-knee hand finished leather boots featured, which are front and centre of every Keith Scarrott Shoes Autumn/Winter collection, but you'll also see a selection of our new striking leather ankle boots.

"A little more playful and perfect for everyday wear, you'll want more than one pair."

Boasting "exceptional one-of-a-kind footwear, both for flamboyant festive occasions and essential everyday Autumn/Winter wear", the collection has been designed in the heart of the Cotswolds and delicately hand made in small, family owned, artisan workshops in Venice and Milan, with heavier biker and cowboy styles from the best factories in Spain.

Working with the John Lewis fashion and events team, and the Charlotte Tilbury beauty counter team, the Keith Scarrott Shoes' team selected 10 new season outfits to shoot, showcasing many of this season's biggest trends, including leather, satin, animal print, long line coats, over-the-knee boots, and the layering of rich tonal colours and prints.
