Iceland to expand into forecourts

Following a trial earlier this year, Iceland is set to stock its products in garage forecourts.

EG On the Move introduced the retailer's frozen range in 10 of its 153 forecourts in February, as reported by Retail Gazette.

Now the frozen food specialist will increase its forecourt offering to 21 EG On the Move sites over the coming months.

The range will initially launch in Barnstaple and Rotherham on April 17. Both forecourts will have prominent Iceland branding on fascias and in-store displays.

The exact products on offer will vary by location, but forecourts will stock a selection of the retailer's most popular items and brands, including Harry Ramsden, TGI Fridays and Greggs.

Iceland said these 10 new stores are 'just the start' as it expands to reach more people in the most convenient locations.

EG On the Move said the partnership will provide a 'seamless and convenient' experience for customers.
