Huge advertising banners to showcase new Cheltenham office and commercial development

Plans for the redevelopment of what has been known as a bit of a Cheltenham eyesore will soon be displayed for all of the town to see.

The aim of the up to 170square metre banners are to advertise the kind of business space on offer when the offices, commercial space and restaurants open upon completion.

Work is currently underway on a complete overhaul of the Quadrangle, the prominent building on the corner of Imperial Square and The Promenade.

When complete, the five-storey building will have a new look with the commercial space on the ground floor, four floors of office space and a rooftop restaurant on the fifth floor.

There will be 5735m2 of lettable office space and new plans lodged with Cheltenham Borough Council are for huge advertisements to be put on the building, showcasing what is on offer.

The plans, lodged by Cheltenham-based SF Planning are for five banners to be erected on the road-facing frontages of the Quadrangle building.

Three of the banners will be nine-metre squares, one will be 18x6metre and the largest will be a huge 18x9metre block.

All will be advertising the different types of accommodation on offer in the building once the work has been completed - as well as contact numbers for the developers.

Beard Construction, who are leading the refurbishment works are also, unsurprisingly, getting in on the act.
