Homebase set for return to Cheltenham and create 30 jobs

Home and gardens retailer Homebase is planning to open a new store and garden centre in Cheltenham occupying almost 50,000 sq ft.

The new store will open in the Spring on a site previously occupied by The Range on Tewkesbury Road.

Homebase said the new site will create 30 new jobs for the local area. Those who lost their jobs when the previous Homebase store in Cheltenham closed in December 2019, will be given priority for the new roles.

Inside, customers can expect to see a kitchen showroom, which will showcase Homebase's new range of kitchens created in collaboration with House Beautiful and Country Living magazines.

A standalone Bathstore section will provide inspiration for anyone looking to upgrade their bath or shower room.

The new store will also feature a paint and decorating area and Storage & More 'shop-within-a-shop' layouts, which make it easier for customers to visualise how products and designs might look in their own home.
